Super Bowl parties are over rated. I'm waiting for Spring Training to start so the real sport of Baseball begins:0) Have fun at your parties but be safe!

You also want to make sure you have plenty of adult diapers to go around. Last years super bowl party was a mess! We were all out of diapers and I ended up sharting myself. Not a good way to end the party. REMEMBER THE DIAPERS!!!

I'm not much of a football fan, but your ideas are good - especially having vegetables at the party.

Set up two TVs side by side, hook one up to a TiVo like machine, and leave the other on just regular cable. Where there is a controversial call by the refs, you can then use the TiVo TV to replay the play yourself and not rely on the (almost) always bad replay angles they give you on the broadcast. While you are doing your own reviewing the non-TiVo TV is still "real time" so that you know when it is time to get back to the game. We tired this out at this year's party and it was great.

Make your square grid, sell off the squares. Label one side of the grid A, another B, another C, and the last one D. Write each letter on a piece of paper and draw one from a hat. This will determine which side of the grid faces up. The only square that will never change is 5,5.

I love this game, but you have to be in a group that basically stays still and watches the game! You establish an order, usually up and down rows as you are seated. You have one cup. The first person puts a quarter in the cup. Every time there is a first down (either changing teams or a team making a first) the cup is passed to the next person, who puts another quarter in. Who ever is holding the cup when a team scores gets the money, and the game starts over!

We are having a Super Bowl party and having the traditional game on the big screen in the family room with beer, munchies and chili. But, for those that want to chat, there is going to be a Ladies' Lounge in the front living room serving Cosmopolitans* and featuring 'Sex & the City' in between the coveted commercials. *Carrie's Cosmos Fill a martini shaker 1/2 full with crushed ice, add two shots of vodka and fill with ice cold cranberry juice. Shake, then pour, straining off the ice, in a sugared rim martini glass.

Search Google for a list of Hall of Fame players from all eras. Search the individual names and go to "Images" tab, then find the best shot and print it out. Assign a number to each one and either paste them to cards or just tape them to the walls in your house (this gets people to move out of the kitchen or den and mingle before the game). Have a master list with the correct answers and give everyone a blank sheet with 1-25 (or however many photos you have made). Also provide pens or pencils. Finish this game before game time, then tally the score and have a small prize for the winner.

Surf the Internet for little-known or common football factoids and type up a trivia game for halftime. Have a prize for whoever gets the most right.

Purchase an NFL smooth surface football. Have all the guests sign the game ball with silver permanent ink pen. Put the final score and where the game was held on the football. One guest will win the football at the end of the party. I put slips of paper with "sorry" on all but one inside inflated balloons. The guests each pick a balloon, and on signal, they burst their balloons to see who gets the football.
