Return to article: How to Throw a Super Bowl Party
on 1/31/2009 We play Sports Party Bingo at our Super Bowl party as a way of keeping everyone engaged in the party. http://www.sportspartybingo.com It's a variation on the traditional 5-in-a-row printed card game where the first player to mark a complete row is the winner. Instead of using numbered squares, the squares in the game card contain descriptions of events that are likely to occur during the course of the sports party. Partygoers watch for these events and mark the squares on their cards accordingly. The party host moderates the game and hands out prizes. It keeps everybody interested no matter their interest in sports or how good/bad the game is.
on 1/31/2009 You also want to make sure you have plenty of adult diapers to go around. Last years super bowl party was a mess! We were all out of diapers and I ended up sharting myself. Not a good way to end the party. REMEMBER THE DIAPERS!!!
on 1/30/2009 I've always wanted to throw a superbowl party... I really don't like football too much but the superbowl is usually a fun game to watch... I like the first tip about drinking and driving..
on 1/30/2009 I'm not much of a football fan, but your ideas are good - especially having vegetables at the party.
on 1/4/2009 the comments about not drinking and driving is a great tip. Tampa police can be very petty. so don`t take chances around Super Bowl in Tampa. Tip from www.Tampalimoinc.com
on 9/29/2008 Like your instructions but where can I buy the bad call bricks? thanks
on 2/1/2008 Sweet! Thanks for this guide! I hope you are getting paid big time for this!
on 2/1/2008 I am in charge of the pool this year and wish I had planned out some of the ideas presented on an earlier post. That would have been fun. Wo wins the toss? Who scores first? Blocked Kick? Great ideas. http://www.arizonahomeownerinsurance.biz
on 2/1/2008 Check out Celebrity Super Bowl Parties and a live streaming Stadium-cam. See how 50-Cent, Paris Hilton, and Ashlee Simpson throw a superbowl party. http://www.azfamily.com/sports/super42/
on 1/28/2008 Great article, but you forgot to mention my "Jalapeno, Corn, Bean & Cheese Dip" recipe! lol, come on by my articles to give this great cheese dip recipe a try on Super Bowl Sunday!
on 2/14/2007 This is a great article. Check out more info on Super Bowl parties at http://www.purerushmiami.blogspot.com
on 1/30/2007 Came across this page yesterday too with recipes, ideas, drink calculator, online planning tools, etc. http://hubpages.com/hub/super_bowl_party_guide I'm definately making the Hooters-style buffalo wings on Sunday!
on 1/9/2008 Set up two TVs side by side, hook one up to a TiVo like machine, and leave the other on just regular cable. Where there is a controversial call by the refs, you can then use the TiVo TV to replay the play yourself and not rely on the (almost) always bad replay angles they give you on the broadcast. While you are doing your own reviewing the non-TiVo TV is still "real time" so that you know when it is time to get back to the game.We tired this out at this year's party and it was great.
on 2/28/2006 Make your square grid, sell off the squares. Label one side of the grid A, another B, another C, and the last one D. Write each letter on a piece of paper and draw one from a hat. This will determine which side of the grid faces up. The only square that will never change is 5,5.
on 2/25/2006 I love this game, but you have to be in a group that basically stays still and watches the game! You establish an order, usually up and down rows as you are seated. You have one cup. The first person puts a quarter in the cup. Every time there is a first down (either changing teams or a team making a first) the cup is passed to the next person, who puts another quarter in. Who ever is holding the cup when a team scores gets the money, and the game starts over!
