Go to a reputable organization that you can trust. Free resources lack the support, professionalism and stability of a professional. on 11/14/2007 There is a great website: www.yellow7.com. This site is very cost efficent for web design. It also give you great strategies on how to optimize your site so that people will see it in the search engines. It does no good if people can't find your site. Yellow7 began nearly 10 years ago as a full service design shop. Over the years they have produced many websites, stand-alone presentations, and marketing collateral all with design being the key emphasis.

on 11/16/2006 You bring up some good points, especially about checking to see where a designer's strong point is. For my website I ended up geting one person to do the programming and another to do the design.

on 6/30/2006 There is a company called SiteProPlus that does custom website designs for their customers for free. If a customer wants the site, all they pay for is hosting, which includes domain name, emails, etc.
