on 11/22/2005 If you ride English and are jumping, don't be scared! And if you fall off, get back on and fight back! It may seem inpossible, but with time and the right horse, you can do it!

on 11/22/2005 If you have two pieces of long cloth, use them. If you don't, then you will get like rug burn (it hurts). So wrap the cloth firmly near the ankle - not too tight, but not too loose. And wear bell-bottoms if you use my tip.

on 11/22/2005 If you're going to learn to ride a horse, learn the way that will be useful to you. If you have friends that live on ranches, then learn to ride Western. Learn the style that will benefit you the most. You learn balance both ways - English and Western.

on 11/22/2005 Riding a horse is like riding a bike in the way that, if you ever fall off your horse, you need to pick yourself up and get back on. I see so many riders that fall off and are too scared to get back on and give up riding. Pick yourself up and get back on.

on 11/22/2005 It is always better to establish a good relationship with a horse while on the ground first. A horse that has your respect and respects you will be a better and more fun mount.
