on 1/2/2008 This is not REAL Sangria, to make the good stuff add in equal parts Gin, Light Rum, Vodka and a half part Tequila. Add in fruit (sliced limes lemons oranges. halved grapes, strawberries ) whatever you have that's fresh, let stand for atleast and hour. Add ice and a bottle of good red wine or champange stir, keep the ladies away from the fruit they will chomp down on it and a lagre amount of alchol at the same time. Enjoy.

on 7/13/2006 To chill the sangria without diluting, try making ice cubes from orange juice and/or soda (Mountain Dew or 7Up).

on 1/2/2006 If there's a party on the way, forget the ice and try chilling the sangria at least a couple of hours before serving. Later, as the party is getting hot, add some ice. Drip in some alcohol (1 part vodka, gin or brandy, 5-6 parts wine) for a stronger effect. You can chop in some apples, too. Leave the apples in the glass while serving another. Eat the apples at the end. :)
