Just tried to remove some small spots of blood from carpet with shaving cream and it worked a treat, thanks for the tip :-)

I just tried the shaving cream method on a few small stains in my pale shag rug. The stains had been there for about three days, though I did a little work with a wet cloth when they were fresh. The rug was clean in no time at all.

Thanks, my dog had his nails clipped and bled on my best Persian Rug. All these tips were great. I will use them again. My carpet has come up a treat.

The Barbasol shaving cream method works. I had 30-40 blood spots on light brown carpet that were 10 mins old when I started. Had to go over each stain a few times with a cloth and it took about 45 mins to get rid of them all. Didn't harm the carpet or color.

My 1 1/2 yr old just got a bunch of spatters of blood on our beige carpet and we used the shaving cream method and it worked! We applied a small amount and rubbed with fingers - working it in as a lather. We then used a wash cloth to "scrub" it out ... I repeated the process twice on each spot and it worked! Thanks!

For a fresh stain, rinse it under cold water and scrub shampoo into the stain. Rinse with cold water. Baby wipes also work wonders on most fabrics.

Blood can also be cleaned out of carpet by using hydrogen peroxide. I use a spray bottle with 1/3 hydrogen peroxide and 2/3 hot water. Spray it on the stain and let it bubble. Then blot/scrub with a cloth. Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.

If it is dried blood stain, this has worked for me. Pour cold water on the stain and then table salt. Just watch the blood soak into the salt. Wait about 1-2 minutes, then take a spoon, dig around stain and vacuum it all up.

    1. Treat stain with a biomatic enzyme. 2. Use a small carpet extractror with hot water and a fabric softner add to the water 3. Extract the stain and repeat as necessary

First blot the stain with a paper towel, then pour peroxide directly on the stain and let sit for about an hour or longer, then rub the stain out. For fabrics, do the same thing but put in washing macchine.

Use your own saliva, make sure you haven't had any to eat that could turn the color of the saliva, make sure its clear saliva. Spit on the bloody area. Saliva is an enzyme and breaks down the blood cells, it makes the blood stain disappear.

Use Oxi Clean with hot water in the squirt bottle. Pour on dried blood. Let it absorb. Take a cloth, rub gently and stain will disappear.

When my nosebleed dripped on my new light color carpet I was disgusted, but I quickly got cold water on a clean white rag and blotted most of it up. I was told by a nurse from Ohio that blood can also be cleaned out of most anything, including carpet, by using a 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water mixture. I tried this solution and I used a spray bottle, but using 40% hydrogen peroxide and 60% water, (NOTE: I was told a 50/50% solutions works better, but I did not want to take a chance on fading the color of my carpet). But I sprayed the 60/40 hydrogen peroxide/water solution on the blood stain, and towel blotted the stain up with a clean cloth. After three tries it came up, without fading my carpet. Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.

Pour hydrogen peroxide directly on blood stains in carpet - blot with clean cloth

If you've gotten your own blood on fabric, there's nothing that cleans it better than your own saliva. Spit on the stain and rub. Kind of gross, but it works perfectly in a pinch.

For any blood stains, I like to use hydrogen peroxide. It eats up all blood spots.
