on 11/22/2005 My brand new carpet had unidentified stains just inside the doorway. When the installer was here, my dog peed on the new nylon carpet right in front of him. It seemed like a good time to ask what I should use to clean this carpet. He said water, and it worked. So, I used water on the unidentified black marks by the front door, and they were gone! All the marks wiped right out with a dampened rag.

on 11/22/2005 Take shaving cream to your carpet as if it were normal carpet-cleaning solution. Spray on until you have a sufficient amount over the dirty area. Let sit for five minutes. Then, blot and clean.

on 11/22/2005 Liberally sprinkle cornstarch over mud, let sit 15-30 minutes. Then vacuum.
