Return to article: How to Quit Smoking
on 6/26/2009 I really wish i could stop. One day im going to sit aside and just say, this is it! See my grandad still got cancer even when he stops, so it sort of makes me think. If it happened to me, i could be kicking the **** out of myself, and went back to "the day i want to sit aside" and say why didnt i just smoke my lungs out that day! But these are good tips.
on 6/21/2009 Really short, sweet and to the point; great job. 5*****

on 4/16/2009 First accept the fact they make you feel like sh*t, then when ready to stop...Foolproof method that worked for me:The chemical....Get 3 days to yourself. One evening get heavily drunk and smoke alot,Next day dont smoke sip water recover (u shud feel very ill),Day after dont smoke eat fav food watch movies jerk off etc (enjoy not feeling ill)and stay up very very late,Third day wake up midday start drinking, by evening ur drunk and ready to sleep,Fourth day nicotine has left the system! Now its a mind game...Always remeber you will only want a ciggarette for 5 min. So if you find yourself wanting one badly just remeber in 4-6 minutes you wont, im sure you can manage 4-6 minutes! After a couple of weeks it gets easier and easier, soon you will want a ciggarette once a month, and then you wont!
on 3/18/2009 I've found that being "mindful" of my quit process has helped -- why i smoke when i do etc. Linkman is the smoking cessation device I used - it kind of forced me to think about why I wanted a cigarette - I had some slips but am now smoke free

on 7/20/2008 I think the first thing that we need it the will power; I don’t have it… when I see my life going on without any entertainment, no friends to pass my time with, I find cigarettes are my best refuge for keeping myself happy… My daughter smoked for ten years, she just quit and she is happy now, she keeps on telling herself that she is ok and never admits the craving for smoking, she mingles with smoker friends on purpose and doesn’t mind it at all… she admits that is still hard for her after a month and a half without smoking, she says that her breathing is now much better, her skin and her sleeping. Sometimes though she gets a little edgy but that will go after a while, I admire my daughter for her courage and this huge decision, she has a great will power, and for sure she didn’t inherit it from me.
on 4/17/2008 Hi, I came across this online quit smoking counter that measures smoking cessation and the length of time the person has stopped smoking, money you saved and extra live gained! http://www.quitsmokingcounter.com/
on 3/18/2008 I was a pack and a half a day smoker and quit smoking in one 30-minute treatment with laser therapy. I went to a company called Freedom Laser Therapy that provides a painfree low-level laser procedure which helps alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms. The staff at Freedom Laser Therapy is dedicated and passionate about helping smokers end their nicotine addiction. I would really recommend laser therapy to help you quit smoking. Go to their locations page to find a Freedom Laser Therapy clinic or a local quit smoking laser therapy practionioner in your area. http://www.freedomlasertherapy.com
on 1/2/2007 I have to give credit to Nicorette gum for helping me to stop after 40 years of smoking. Also, the handheld Pacman game which kept my hands and mind busy when I felt the craving. That gum was the best thing that ever happened to me. Yes, I gained a couple of pounds which I lost within no time without any effort on my part. It's been 26 years now. What really turned me to the idea of quiting was the price of cigarettes! They just kept getting higher and higher. I decided if I didn't quit smoking, I would never be able to retire! I was a two 1/2 pack a day easy, one after another. I didn't want to kill myself with cigarettes before I ever got a chance to retire. It really has to be an honest look at what you will gain if you quit. For me it was a LOT MORE MONEY and better health.
on 1/2/2007 well what can i say... it's been 2 days since i smoked my last fag... new year's resolution tho :) i'll b fine this time tho
