Return to article: How to Plan Your Prom Night
on 3/21/2006 Make sure you arrange a hair dresser at least one and a half months ahead of time, otherwise you will have no idea what to do with your luscious locks on your special night.
on 3/16/2006 Corsage- Some people prefer to make a corsage and save money rather then buying one. But if you are creatively challenged, then go around and look for good deals. They don't have to be expensive; 10-20 dollars for a good one. Also talk to your friends and try to see if they give a group deal if you have enough people. Transportation - If you want to take a limo or chauffeur service, but don't want to pay a lot of cash, get a large group together. Look around for deals and compare them, you can get a good last minute deal sometimes. I got a deal for 200 bucks for transportation to peoples houses, to dinner, and to the place. Gather up a good amount of people to keep the cost low as possible. Dinner- Look for a nice place, but somewhere that won't fry your wallet. If you want it to be more like a function, call up a restaurant and see if they will give you a set menu for your party or a buffet at nice place. You will save a lot of money. Also order sides for 2 or more people so you don't have to order a individual side for everyone. The day of - Finalize all you plans the night before and use this day to relax and get ready. Pick up your date's corsage and other gifts on the day of, or a day or 2 before, the event. Call up to confirm your limo and dinner reservations and have a place for everyone to meet. Take good pictures and have fun. At the party- Make sure you don't arrive on the dot, many people don't. Be about 10-20 minutes late which, gives people enough time to get in. Have fun and enjoy your dance.
on 11/22/2005 Go with a friend rather than that special someone that you finally got up the nerve to ask. Chances are that you will have a better time with your friend than with the awkward silences with the person you are trying to impress.
on 11/22/2005 Make sure you have the following emergency items on you: safety pins, Advil, tampons, lipstick, eyeliner, compact and mirror, comfortable shoes (I like slippers). Add anything else you think you may need, but if you are caught without any one of these things, you may regret it.
on 11/22/2005 Perhaps after the prom, yes; But during the prom, don't get into any drinking or you'll get yourself into worse trouble than you can imagine.
on 11/22/2005 Remember that the most important thing is to have fun. Don't let anything ruin your night.
