Here is the piece of glass I am going to be wrapping today. Let's get started! You will need to cut four pieces of hemp. The amount of hemp needed depends on how big your object is. For my piece (about 1.5 inches by .5 inch) I used about 60 inches for each piece of hemp. I usually just eyeball it by using the wingspan of my arms (I am 5 foot tall so it's pretty accurate for me... if you are taller you may want to use less, although having extra hemp at the end never hurts) Take the four strands and fold them in half. Tie an overhand knot at the fold.

Whenever I added a bead, I tied off the braid with the other two strips. I alternated which color I placed a bead on every time I added one. I tied the strip with the bead on it to one of the other strips and alternated those as well.
