The old-fashioned American treat is back in style! Not only does it taste great, but it’s also a low calorie snack that’s quick and easy to make. With just a few key ingredients you can turn any microwaveable popcorn bag into a gourmet delight! Here are just a few different variations:
1. For a taste of India, combine 2 teaspoons of curry powder with 3 or 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Drizzle over the popcorn and sprinkle ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of sugar and ½ cup toasted grated coconut. Mix and eat.
2. For your next pasta night, mix up some Parmesan or Romano cheese with 1 teaspoon of oregano, a pinch of cayenne pepper and ¼ teaspoon of garlic salt. Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil and drizzle over popcorn. Add topping mixture and mix.
3. For your sweet tooth, mix together equal parts of sugar, brown sugar (about 1 tablespoon). Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and coat the popcorn.
