How to Use a Soldering Gun
by Jonra Springs
Use a soldering gun to coat and secure wire connections with solder. The hot tip of a solder gun melts the tin and lead alloy called solder. Cover a wire connection by dripping the molten solution over the exposed wire. The soldering job will cool and harden in a few seconds. The tip of a soldering gun heats quickly when the trigger is pressed, then cools just as fast. The soldering gun design keeps the tip off of the resting surface. A soldering iron stays hot until it's unplugged, and it is difficult to lay down without the tip contacting the resting surface.

How to Use the Coldheat Soldering Gun
by Jonra Springs
Use the Coldheat soldering gun to execute small soldering jobs in seconds. The cordless Coldheat tool transfers heat faster than a soldering iron or solder gun. The tip of a Coldheat gun is made of two separated electrodes that become a circuit when connected by touching the conductive metal of solder, wire or a connector terminal. The circuit generates heat to 500 degrees in one second and the temperature continues to increase for as long as the tip is against a metal. The tip then cools to touch in a matter of seconds after being removed from a metal surface.

What Soldering Gun to Use for Circuit Boards
by Ryan K Oylear
Soldering involves melting an alloy with a relatively low melting point, known as solder, to join metals. When connecting metal elements on a circuit board, using solder allows the individual elements to be attached while retaining their conductive abilities. Choosing the right type of soldering gun or iron is important in ensuring that conductivity is maintained and nothing is melted or damaged along the way.
