How to Use Floating Row Covers

If you have ever had an issue in your garden with bugs or varmints eating your developing produce, a floating row cover may be the solution. A floating row cover, as shown in the picture to the left, is a lightweight material placed directly over the plants. The material is translucent, allowing sun and water through but not bugs or nibbling animals. The fabric can be re-used for several years.

With a little shelf space or an unused closet, you can start your seedlings indoors with an at-home grow room.
