How to Countersink Drilling Wood
by Patrick Nelson
Countersinking is used to sink the head of a screw below the surface of the wood. The area can then be filled with putty, sanded and finished for a seamless look. The best performing countersink bits for drilling into wood are high-speed steel bits ground from alloy steel with the edges hardened. The hardening is for long life.
