Just plant the bottom of the bulb into the soil(will be white, red, yellow, or purple) The bulb doesn't have to be buried completely. I have quit burying bulbs because the disease risk is lower and bulbs get bigger.
I live in Houston so I can even use this recipe in the winter! 5* and recommend.
