I agree with those tips. Some just seem to want to "cling" to Christmas. I guess maybe because of the cold, dreary days of winter, but it's a bit tacky when one house on the block refuses to let go of the holiday.

I agree to a point with this article. I come from a small town, unfortunately with small town "mentality". People in the town are quick to assume the worst about someone that would rather be left alone than be very active in the community. I can never get over how few people do their homework before participating in idle gossip that helps contribute to neighbors not getting along. It is often the case that the more liked neighbor in the community is seen as the "victim" when the truth may very well be that they are in reality the instigator. I've seen that a few times.
