What about lime leaching from the concrete blocks? Not good for plants or fish. I just use different size terra cotta pots and saucers in mine. They're good for hiding pumps and filters too!

Years ago I had a old metal bath tub, I sank it in the ground and it was a great small pond. Was a great idea. Good article
