As the driver of both celebrities and the public for 15 years here are my tips. If your driver tells you his name use it. Don't call him "Dude" or "Driver" unless you don't care about him offering his best service. If you get in the limo and start pressing all the buttons you are telling the world (and your driver) that you've never been in a Limo before. Though the Tip is often on the bill the Limo Companies often monkey with the ammount, shorting the driver. They live and die by the cash they see so if you are able offer a cash tip even if it's small. Tell the chauffeur "I know the tip is on the Bill but get a coffee or dinner or a Lexus on me." Finally do not expect the driver to break the law or allow you to break the law. Their car and their licsense ARE their job so asking them to drive fast because you are late or find you drugs or alcohol are bad ideas. I once had young film stars run from the police back to the limo and order me to drive away. They were shocked when I waited on the police and unlocked the doors. The limo is not a foreign embassy or a church offering sanctuary. The good news is that if you treat your chauffeur with respect, there is nothing they won't do for you. We know everything about everything and if given the chance can make your evening magical.
