I use my ISDN line to do a radio show specifically, but to start with just doing voice overs, you don't really need one, it IS a pain to get installed and zephyrs are expensive! Get a good laptop, soundcard and the other equipment, and all the v/o work that I do , I send via MP3 or wav. That is how most of the people I deal with want it... My friend is much more pro "in" the biz, and some of her people want to "coach" her WHILE she reads via her ISDN line... but i haven't encountered that necessity.
