How to Tie a Sarong on 04/25/07
Another wrap skirt look: With the sarong behind you, hold the right side out with your right hand; and bring the left corner over to your right hip (pull the fabric tight to the left side of your body - you'll have much more fabric on your right side at this point than on your left). Tie the left corner with a small knot to the right side of the sarong: not to the right corner, but to the middle of the fabric, so that the right side of the fabric hangs down loose on the other side of the knot. Take the right side and wrap around the front, *underneath* the left side, pushing the excess up through the top of the waistband, so that it folds over in front. The end result is a wrap-skirt look with a triangular flap over the stomach and hip area. This style won't fly open at the side when the wind blows, so you can wear it as a "real" skirt, without shorts or a bathing suit under
