I agree that one just has to know what they are doing. instead of this being a baptist belief lets not lable it to a religion but a bible teaching. you do have to be bapized to be saved. Mark 16:16 " He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." so both belief and baptism are necessary. Look at the ethopian unich Acts 8. We have control over all our actions. so many verses talk about us being judged by our deeds. Also God has provided us a way of escape anytime we are tempted. 1 Cor 10:13. We can control sin. We don't because we are weak. more »

I would say it is our fault. Matt 16: 27 says," "For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS." also John 5:29," ... those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment."
