What would be the point of freeing yourself from idiotic bifurcated clothing better suited to a woman or surfboard-rider (pants and shorts) and then putting on underwear? If you are wearing the Kilt, and you've still got your knickers on, (and you're not otherwise in some kind of extremely cold weather condition) perhaps its the knickers that appeal to you, and showing a bit kind of helps you...go.
