by Dr Nancy Malik on 08/01/08 : Homeopathy is a system of medicine that treats diseased individuals on the basis of using medicinal substances capable of producing similar changes in the health of a person as that of the diseased person. The term Homoeopathy is derived from the Greek words - homoios, meaning similar, and pathos, mean suffering. Homoeopathy is based on the principle - like cures like. Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, himself an allopathic doctor (M.D.). Homeopathy was established it in the late 18th and early 19th century by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. He realised his own school of medicine (allopathy) wasnt helping the patients and spent years researching on homeopathy. ... more »   respond »

by gypsy456 on 03/22/08 : I would love to get in touch with people who are living with somebody suffering from OCD. My husband is a musician, a very talented and wonderful violinist. However, my life is becoming heavily affected by the OCD. The anxiety that he carries with him is getting too much for me and I feel how I am slowly but surely are losing myself. It's emotionally draining and I am not sure how long I can do this. Please tell me about your experiences, what have you done to 'survive' this ? I am trying to stay patient, but I am losing my patience which of course does not help... Help.... ... more »   respond »

by glassjawchick16 on 07/28/08 : Hi. I live with my boyfriend of a year who has OCD. He said that ever since he has been with me it has gotten worse....I cannot seem to get him out of the bathroom. All he does in there is mess with his face for hours. It has gotten to the point where I cannot get privacy in the bathroom unless he is not home. It is greatly affecting our relationship as I feel I never get to spend enough time with him. I feel like he is slowly driving me insane. As you, I have tried to stay patient but he gets mean and angry when he is freaking out about something. Not to mention he is a germ a phobe.... It would be nice to chat with you more because my friends and family do not understand. ... more »   respond »

by goldenbay on 08/31/08 : I have been in a relationship for over 4 years with my boyfriend who has OCPD and ME. He has broken the relationship off many times saying I am exhausting him. He tells me a catalogue of things I have done wrong over the years and we are now separated, with him wanting to remain friends. I know I have done and said things wrong, over the years and are willing to change, but wonder if the OCPD could have had and effect on his judgement. Can anyone who is in a relationship with an ocpd sufferer offer advice ... more »   respond »

by orchardman on 09/11/08 : Hi Goldenbay Hi, I don't know if my ex had ocpd but the more i read about itthe more i wonder. She criticised everything I did and things had to be done her way. I am talking about hanging towels in a certain way, cutting vegatables her way, not washing up and drying correctly etc.Generally, she made me feel stupid even though I am fairly bright. She said that all the things I did wrong had 'consequences' whatever that meant? The fact thay I was loyal to her, supportive, would never be unfaithful, caring etc meant nothing to her but she hated me for trivial things. Then she started on my appearance, hair needed cutting, horrible colour swimming shorts( who cares) etc. Finally, she began put downs in front of others like saying i was a Dork! thanks a lot. Finally she ended things, what a cheek. Of course i was probably messy at times but this was beyond that. In the early days she adored ... more »   respond »

by jerocho on 08/21/08 : I found about this exercise on the internet and I started doing it. Couldn't hold for 3 seconds. Now I am holding for 20 plus seconds. I tried the masturbating as my wife is away at the moment, to see if I could hold back the ejaculation. Guess what. I controlled it for as much as I wanted. In a few days will get to try the real thing. I'll keep on practicing. I practice even traveling in the bus as my work is two hours away from my house. Thanks for this exercise. Very good exercise and I am sharing it with my colleagues. ... more »   respond »
