Our family adopted 4 children from our local Department of Children and Family (DCF) and it took less than 1 1/2 years to complete the whole process and took less than $400. We used a DCF lawyer and the state paid for everything except for their new birth certificates which cost about $400. You can adopt great children from your local DCF agency for less than a private agency. Our children were in foster care for over 4 years and thier parents rights were taken away. They have been with us for over 6 years and they are wonderful loving children. I think my husband and I have learned more from them then they have learned from us.Adoption is a terrific way to add to your family and show love to children who have no family.
