I really would like to know what state funded institution gives scholarships or financial aid only to minority students. I am black and wasn't offered any scholarships or financial aid for being a minority. I did receive a scholarship from my mother's employer based on my academic performance though (and so did sons/daugthers of her white colleagues). Now, don't get me wrong, I do know of non profit organizations which offer scholarships to specific groups, such as the United Negro College Fund. However, I nor any of my many minority college graduate friends, have heard of or received any type of financial aid from a state organization based on being race.
