don't forget the Botanical Center on the river in downtown Des Moines...or the Art Center in Greenwood park on Grand Ave in Des Moines...or get your water skis wet at Saylorville Lake just north of Des Moines...or take a beautiful train ride over huge river canyons at the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad (best during the fall when the entire valley is covered in shades of yellows and reds)
