FINALLY A SOLUTION!!
My three-year old granddaughter got a hold of my dark nail polish and spilled it on my light beige carpet. I rubbed fingernail polish remover and it didn't work. I tried carpet cleaner and it didn't work. I purchased the goo gone but it wouldn't come out and the smell was awful. Finally gave up. Now four weeks later, I tried hairspray and shaving cream and it didn't come out. FINALLY, I tried rubbing alcohol and it started to come out. By the way shaving cream and hairspray have alcohol in them. And after using the rubbing alcohol, I poured some castille liquid soap on it and it's coming off. I'm actually working on it now and it's working!!!!
