: nice informative article...just a quick note---American Cancer Society recommends annual screening mammograms for all women age 40 or more. they may be done more frequently if previous mammograms are questionable. mammograms are not very helpful before 40 years of age because the breast tissue is dense and it is difficult for radiologists to pick up a mass if it is present, therefore false negative results are high.
