: Thanks for the comments, random. I don't have any stats specific to bikes, but nos. 5 and 6 are generally the biggest fuel savers for cars. It's hard to do on a two-wheeler, but if you can accelerate at low to moderate RPMs, the fuel efficiency will move on up.

: good tips! Can you tell us how much each of these might actually save us? I find habits easier to change one at a time, and I'd love to know which ones are going to save me the most and start doing those first.
and thanks for the drafting tip. I know people who do this with their cars, but it's just too dangerous. On a motorcycle, a "small" bump at highway speeds is usually fatal - nobody EVER try this.
A tip to add, if you plan to update the article (May be common knowledge to everyone who rides), but if driving at rushhour is unavoidable, take advantage of the carpool lane - this is available to all motorcycles.
