Great information here. Just a quick note to future readers: you have to remove both the upper and lower glovebox in order to fully gain access to the airbox. Remove the lower glovebox first, then the upper. The lower glovebox has a hidden screw on the upper right side, behind the plastic trim and rubber moulding for the passenger door. When my truck reached the 20k mile marker, I asked the dealer about how hard it was to replace the filter. According to the dealer, it would require total disassembly of the dashboard. I was charged $89.99 to replace the in cabin micro filter on my '06 Frontier. $49.99 for the new filter, and $40 for labor. Well, I just bought new filters, 2 for $16.99 @ Advance Auto parts. I did the labor myself, which only required removing the upper and lower gloveboxes, 9 screws in all, 10 including the bolt for the air filter cover. The whole thing
