Thanks to all helpful suggesters. THE ALCOHOL WORKED FOR ME AND QUITE EASILY: I didn't have to rub especially hard with paper towel soaked in alcohol, though I did have to be a bit persistent, repeating the process a few times, but it was REALLY EASY. I would add only that, after the removal it was necessary to rub the entire area with water to remove a sort of ring from the fabric, but that was quite easy too. Thanks again.
