I have been using slippery elm bark in my ferrets duck soup successfully. I use approx 1/5 of the capsule (open capsule and empty small amount in duck soup then close capsule back up for next use). My ferret has IBD and this has helped soothe his tummy and helped with his projectile poops. They are no longer liquid but have a substance to it. Every ferret owner is always alert to their ferrets poops since it signifies something is wrong and to start acting fast. They also have the slippery elm in liquid form which is easier to use which I am in the process of ordering.
