tylercanada - yes, what you ask will work - however most homes are 240VAC - which takes (2) 120VAC lines to get to that voltage. Consequently, most distribution panels have 2 sides to them, each run by a single 120VAC line from the electrical grid. By only plugging in 1 120VAC line, you effectively only energize one side of your electrical panel - the one that has the breaker that you plugged in (side note - the physical side of the panel doesn't matter, they are staggered internally). So, while it will work, it only will reach 1/2 of your circuits. And you're limited to about 10-15 amps depending on your cord size, generator capacity and breaker size.
so using the 110 gfci on the generator to any outlet outdoors of the house won't work ??
This really works for getting a better price on any vehicle that you sell.
