Hi there Sarah and Anne with Handylock 3 Spindles. I just picked up a Handylock 3 Spindle without the manual. Does anyone out there have a copy of a manual that I could have? I purchased the serger for my mom for Christmas because she has always wanted one. Thank you for your help! Smiles, Taunya :)

Though informative this video should be renamed, maybe thread and your serger. He didn't show "How to thread a serger" at all.

Thanks for the great demos. They have helped a lot since I just got my first serger! I have a Handylock 3 spindle. It worked for several days just fine until yesterday it the top loops were going to the other side and the bottom were coming to the top. They switch back and forth about every 4 inches. I have successfully fixed problems by adjusting the tension, until now. I keep trying the tension knobs, but it doesn't seem to help. I have cleaned and oiled the machine, it has not helped either. Please help! I want to sew! Also, I have successfully serged with 2 threads only, it only not working when I use the three colors. Thanks for your time! -Sarah Laine

Hard to see where he threads the bobbin just before puts it on the machine. The camera did not catch it. I threaded mine and it was wrong and I am now looking ofr another video. He (the speaker) is very good but the camera man is not good at catching the details that are important.

I have always wanted to learn to sew, and just could never find the time and/or resources to do it. I know these video clips will be a blessing to me as I learn, and I appreciate them so much. From what I've seen so far, I love the simple and practical explanations that even a pure "layman" like me can understand. Please continue to make these lessons please!

Neal Jones is very thorough in explaining how to thread and care for the serger. I have never used a serger, but having used regular sewing machines for many years, after watching Mr Jones give a very detailed "run-thru" of the parts, how to thread the upper and lower loopers, etc., I feel confident that with a little practice, I sould become just as proficient on a serger as I am on my sewing machines. I only wish the instructor had given the brand name of the particular serger he used in his demonstration. It looked to be of good quality, and I am wondering if it was an older model as compared to the plastic sergers that are out on the market today. Perhaps Mr. Jones can share this information. Anyway, I thank him for this wonderful presentation and for the insiration to buy and use a serger in the very near future! Thanks, Mr. Jones, for your expertise and excellent demonstration of the serger.
