    I started my locs about 3 years ago and it took 1 year to complete. My hair is now down to my shoulders and I get a lot of compliments. Most people don't realize that you have to be patient. When you wash your locs you will need to retwist your new growth each time. You don't need a lot of fancy products but you do need to eat right and drink plenty of water. I use Organic Root Stimulator (lock & twist gel) to retwist. You will know your hair is locked when there is a bud at the end of each loc. Hope this helps. (You can also have your hair twisted and not allow it to loc. I woudn't go pass 2 weeks if you don't want it to loc or tangle.)

    my hair is growing back after radiation treatments, and i would like to get my hair twisted, but it seems to be so soft. i would like to get locks in my hair,but not to lock! can this be possible?

    i started growing my locks just six months ago. i braided it asusual and haven't combed it since ithe ends seem to be getting locks but the rest of my hair is not locking . i'm i being to impatient? i see other ppl locks and i want mine to look the same. could help.
