I like the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps patches on the utility shirt.
Supportive and non-intrusive ways to be there for a new adoptive family.
Hey Try the Take Down Remover Cream. It is so much faster and easier. Saves your hair too.
Support is HUGE. I am always there for anyone, family or friends that have recently adopted or thinking about it. I feel sharing my experience and views can help another who was just like me. LoST! I did the adoption process on my own, along with my hubby. We did things blindly and love helping others make it easier.Sandyhttp://www.rapidadoption.com/free_adoption_booklet.html
It really didn't take very long for me to bond with my adopted children. This is possibly because they are relatives and saw me around before actually living with me. I say bond with your child, sing to them, read to them, hug them, kiss them, play with them. It's all so important.Sandyhttp://www.rapidadoption.com/free_adoption_booklet.html
Search Interpreter Education Programs here: https://www.rid.org/acct-app/index.cfm?action=search.ITP I enthusiastically recommend a four-year program, especially for people who are not yet fluent in American Sign Language. Even native signers need to be trained in theory, ethics, and best practices. Keep in mind that the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf will require a two-year degree to sit for the certification exam by June 2009; by June 2012, you will need a Bachelor's degree.
Having an adoption support group is an excellent idea. My sister went through an adoption and it didn't turn out the way they expected. They had spent thousands of dollars to never get their baby. That was about 4 years ago. She is not interested in adopting a little girl at her school. My sisters a school teacher. She has vowed to talk to others who have adopted. I'm going to giver her the http://www.myadoptionforms.com/booklet.html link. Really looks like something she would consider. Thanks again. Maddy
That's Awesome!!! I think that was the best gift ever. I think this might be something I can do for my God-daughter who is in the middle of a relationship with her best friends little boy. She wants to adopt him as his mom passed away and he doesn't know his dad. I'm sending her the http://www.myadoptionforms.com/booklet.html link right now to check out the e-booklet. This is priceless! Thanks so much for the idea of a wonderful gift that I KNOW she'll appreciate. Maddy
Great advice! Thanks!
Will be passing this onto my wifey, 5 stars!
