Great idea for old Christmas Cards; I have hundreds! These would make great place card settings for holiday dinners. Thanks for the inspiration! 5*

"These hormones are thought to have increased the age of onset of puberty in girls" I was under the impression that hormones added to milk were causing YOUNGER ages of onset of puberty in girls. (???) Accordingly, I would challenge the claim of this article of hormones increasing(!) (i.e. delaying) the age of puberty.

  • Comment by kokoolea on Growing Vanda Orchids on Oct 25, 09

I have a vanda that had free dangling roots. I was away on biz and the orchid didn't get watered and the roots dried out. The plant itself was still green but the roots all the way to the top were dead and brown. I snipped off hte roots up to the plant where it was green and put it in a cup of water for 2 weeks. It now has two root buds coming out of the base of the plant. I don't know now if I should leave it in the water, take it out and attach it to an orchid basket or if I should plant it in orchid soil? Please advise! I want to save this orchid if possible. Thanks in advance.

Nice article. I would add exercise your body. It's amazing how much of your day this will actually take when you add all the related activities (get dressed, read email, check blogs, procrastinate some more, work out, shower, eat). There goes 3 hours of your day! Thanks so much for the link to my blog. Retired Syd (Retirement: A full-time job)
