I am a psychologist, certified alcohol and drug counselor and a naturopath. I am also a certified natural health professional and herbalist. I have published five books (two of my own), and three CDs. I write music intuitively for relaxation. I work with individuals, couples and families on health and wellness issues. Along with my private practice; I have a forensic practice in which I provide child custody evaluations for the courts. Writing is my stress release. I run a writers group.

Autism is considered a disorder (not a disease). As I referenced, we are learning about the "spectrum" of autistic disorders. Conditions such as Asperger's Disorder or Childhood Disintegrative Disorder are some other examples of what we are learning to understand about development. There are many aspects of brain development that are still a mystery. Glad to hear you had a happy outcome, thank you for sharing. I don't think any life is "good for nothing." Childhood autism is a difficult road for a family, and many parents mourn because their child has suffering. On that point we can agree to disagree, respectfully! ...
