I recently was diagnosed with this viral infection, headache, fever, and very sore throat, it felt like razor blades in my throat, head/sinus cold is the main cause. I had never heard of this until now, yogurt, ice cream, jello have all been a help, if you have small children, please have them checked-out immediately, I was lucky I kept drinking liquids, which seemed to soothe the throat, but many aren't that lucky and become dehydrated, which is so dangerous. Lots of rest, ibuprophen, liquids and rinsing with sea salt and water.
