  • Comment on How to get rid of sweet cravings grandma's way. on Mar 12, 08

I find that eating a few double-fudge brownies or a pint of chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream takes care of any craving for sweets... but that's just me. ;o)

I agree with your emphasis on routines. I had to learn this the hard way, but discovered that babies thrive on routine! Good article. :o)

Very creative and cute! I, for one, would not have any problem using the diapers on the baby. Unsanitary?? Ummm, what do you think the BABY'S going to do to the diaper? ;o)

  • Comment on How to Switch From Religion to Atheism on Mar 03, 08

You might say religion is atheistic to a degree, in that most religions could go on just as they are, with or without God. What we really need is not religion, but a relationship with God. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13

  • Comment on How to Know if the Trinity is a True teaching of The Bible on Mar 03, 08

Be careful about drawing your doctrine from literature. Often, if you read the whole passage, rather than taking it out of context, you'll find that it doesn't mean what the literature implies. For instance, you quote Matthew 15:9, and interestingly Christ is actually quoting Isaiah 29:13. It is a rebuke to men who spoke in Jehovah's name, but their hearts were far from Him. So the quote, "It is in VAIN that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of MEN as Doctrine," was actually spoken by Jehovah first. So Jehovah said not to worship Him??Taken out of context, it makes a most blasphemous statement, doesn't it? I suggest we should heed those words from the Lord, and take care that the doctrines we embrace are of God, and not the "commands of men".

  • Comment on How to understand the TRUE history of Christmas on Mar 03, 08

This is the truth, although not very popular. We do not know when Christ was born because He never intended for us to celebrate His birth. "A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth," says Solomon. The fact that Christ died so that sinners who believe on Him would be saved, is much more worthy of our remembrance.

  • Comment on How to Deepen Your Relationship with Your Young Daughter on Mar 01, 08

Sweet ideas. My nicest memories of my childhood were activities with my Mom. She wrote me notes, too, and I've kept them all these years. I plan to do some of these things with each of my daughters, too! Check out this lovely mother/daughter book by Elisabeth Elliot: "Let Me Be A Woman".
