by chicknfillet on 04/04/08 : Sabrina, I am not sure if it is possible to train a dog to poop in one spot with an outdoor dog unless you know his habits. Many dogs poop after they eat. Does he? If he does, then you could leash him after he eats and follow the directions above. Could he be an indoor dog? In the south, it's pretty hot outside in the summer. Or is he just too rambunctious? The whole trick is to know when he poops. As for the concrete... It's a thought! Then you wouldn't have to mow the lawn either!!! :) ...

by Sabrina71373 on 04/03/08 : yes, but how do you train a dog that already lives outside. Our German Shepherd leaves Elephant sized poop right in the middle of the yard. He refuses to go to the side of the house (fenced yard -- perfect spot for private poops). The poo is always right in the way ... mowing makes me gag ... and living in the heat of the south, we deal with moth sized flies all summer from the excrement. You can only pooper-scoop so much before you scream "It's either the dog going to the pound, or we concrete the whole yard so we can spray it down a drain!" HELP! ...
