hey artsy could not agree more. I am working in Korea right now and I have had several instants where I have had every right to complain yet have managed to bite it because I have learned that even though I honestly have been wronged, there is a higher ideal in the place than just me the individual. Well done.

well said ... you may also want to add that its important to respect everyones space even in cramped areas. Our space is often confined to our seating arrangement so we must be mindful of it. And of course manners are a good requirement too. Same with cultural respect ie no insulting muslims when they are just across from you.

really good. Just a little extra about the KTX. Its koreas fast train and pretty much goes to most parts of korea, amd where it doesnt go, there are likely to be other trains to serve you.

  • Comment on How to Ask Someone to the Prom on Jun 15, 08

Hmmm you might also want to add about what you can do for yourself as a person before asking a person to the prom too. I am referring to how you can make yourself someone people would want to be with at a prom. You know ...have you got style ?? Are you a Lady/gentleman ?? Do you have manners ?? Those kind of things go a long way too !

Classic example showing how self service can also serve others. Do yourself favours. Style yourself. Manage yourself. And chances are if you do these for yourself, then you will be able to this for others too. Well done.

generally good. But with regards to number 6 its not completely true... I think it just depends on who you talk to and where they are from...I am from Adelaide so yeh we tend to be a little conservative where as someone from the east coast may not be so bothered as such. Personally I have no issue with criticisms and welcome it.

  • Comment on How to Recognize Irish Music on Jun 13, 08

Well said. Also, look for the distinct irish tones coming from the Bodhran, the flute and violin. The Corrs are a great example of this. Lol Step 4 Screams ENYA ENYA ENYA !!!!! Step 3 is so well illustrated in bands like the Corrs and Clannad. You can even here the strong irish sound coming through in the Cranberries ( in their talk about the struggles in Belfast), Van Morrison ( very bluesy ), and the early U2 ( reflecting alot on step 2 )

  • Comment on How to Avoid Being Set Up In The Work Place on Jun 13, 08

yes yes very valid and particularly with those working abroad in the asian countries in the area of english teaching. I have been living in Asia now for just on 6.25 years and have seen the good, thebad and the ugly of this industry. Step 1 was very well put. I have adapted that belief myself and I can assure you it holds scared through blood and water. Stick to your guns, your ethics and your task. Your tips are very well said. I have seen it happen here in Asia where people are all set to go only to be told at the last minute the school has gone belly up. Or better still, they havent been told this until they have arrivede in the country to work. NOVA in japan was a wonderful example of this. All sorts of things can happen, and you have provided good advice here on how to deal with things.

I hate to tell you team but there is no way to do it. By stating there is a way, you are saying that one routine fits all. What people need to do is to find out what suits them and their bodies and stick to it. After all, what suits john doesnt always suit jack.
