I was hit by a car while going to the ice cream truck when I was about seven years old, I'd gotten my ice cream and as I was about to cross the street from out of no where a guy in a sports car hit me, this was in the sixties and there were no signs posted on the truck "Watch for Children" I went under the car and had some leg injuries. I am still very cautious about crossing the streets and will never forget my experience. My children knew at a very young age how to cross the streets and the rules involved.
