This is a really good piece. I always manage to get one of these infections before a cross-country trip! It's no fun crossing Montana (land of few rest stops) with one of these. But I drant plenty of cranberry juice and used OTC pain relief until I got to the doctor. Didn't know about garlic and red wine. Thanks for writing.
