Great advice. I was a student in NYC but now go back periodically just to visit. It IS a challenge knowing what to bring. I think you made a great point, which was a thread throughout the article--LAYERS!! You never really know what the temp is going to be--whether it suddenly gets humid or cold, whether you go in the subway and it's horribly hot or cold--not to mention what temp. the restaurant and club might be. So I agree that layering options are the key to a weekend in NYC!
Lots of goot, short and sweet tips! Thanks! I agree with not buying vinyl or plastic boots--so uncomfortable and bad for your feet that they end up being a waste of money!
Camel colour shoes or bag will look perfect with the red dress.
Fashion week is comminggggg

very good ideas that will work! 5*
nice article, my daughter loves your ideas
It is also a good idea to wear spankies under your skirt just in case. You can match the skirt color for a more conservative look or contrast it for a flashier look.
I have another idea and I think it's going to work. I have a website where you can ask people specialized at formal wear, you are not going to ask ordinary people anymore.this is the website:http://formal-wear.org/
