: Perhaps if you just greased the baking sheet with a thin coat of oil (olive oil would be good), it would add a bit more crispiness to the fritters and thus eliminate the need for the pan fry? Regardless, I'm off to pick up some squash!! Cause this one sounds ROCKIN!!! Thank you!! :)

don't forget that the yolk will not be all the way cooked.
and it's sometimes easier to use a biscuit-cutter to make the hole. that way you have a nice-sized place for the egg and you can toast the little bread circle alongside the toad-in-a-hole..i mean, frog-in-a-hole more »respond »
