: I think many people overlook the importance of #5. With a private group, the guide can respond to you with much more flexibility. For example on my climb, we (2 ppl) made the decision to summit a day earlier than planned and also descended from crater camp to Moshi in one day instead of camping at Millenium. This would not have been possible with a group of 12.
