I am a surfer, author, educator and speaker. I was born in Chicago & after the age of two traveled around the world to Indonesia, Kenya, Singapore, Australia & New York. After settling in California, I obtained an MA in English at San Diego State University & started teaching in 2001. I teach Writing at SDSU & have also written for Surfer Magazine & Longboard Magazine. I am currently writing a third book called The Choice of Success: From Nothing to Something.
