If you think it is "moderately easy" to disarm a gun from an attacker then you are a fool.
A trigger can be pulled in a fraction of a second and if your assailant sees you make a sudden movement and grab for his hand you will most likely get shot.
It just isn't worth the risk, if someone points a gun at you all you can do is cooperate as best you can.
