It's true that the numbers are all important (it's the first weeding out step that schools use to lessen the load); therefore, in applying to top schools you need to stand out in other ways. Stress in your essay what makes you different from the other excellent applicants.

Excellent article! Although an experience photographer, I was unaware of the "close-up" adapter. Instead, I've invested hundreds in macro lenses. I'll be curious to see any difference in the photo quality. Thank-you
