I do pretty much the same thing. Accept I use the Hot Cocoa instant mix. I don't really like the taste of the coffee at my work so I take a pack of the instant cocoa with me and mix it in with the hot coffee. Very easy and convenient.

Reward your wife for doing her chores. When she fixes you dinner tell her how good it is no matter how bad it tastes. If you tell you don't like it she will probly lose confidence in cooking and won't want to cook because of the chance of failure. Get her to cook the the things she is good at. If she is completely terrible at every meal consider eating out more.
